New Harbour breeze ceiling fan with remote control works the other also. What should I do? I just added another fan harbor breeze for my house professionally installed and the remote is operating it and the fan port other breaks. I do not want the fans to come on and off simultaneously. The worst is to come on the lights in the middle of the night if it is turned on. How can I stop this?
Your first response is good, except that it is not that much work to make right. The receiver in the fan should be in place in the canopy. The remote on the wall will have its code with the battery compartment
. If you have installed the fan should not be too hard to repair. If an electrician has done and it was reasonable that he knew about your first fan, I would ask them to come back and make it right. If there was no way they could know the first fan I would call them and ask them if you do much for a small price to come back and fix it.
I have two that do this well. It is like a garage remote, you must find the toggle switches on the fan control on the remote and toggle switches on the remote and change it so that the fans are different. It seemed like too much work for me if I just bypass it.
