Haircut Generator Is the recession of spawning-it-yourself generation or do we not always been so? In reading a recent article in The Wall Street Journal on haircuts at home ("per capita savings: Home Barber grows into recession, with results Hairy", Wall Street Journal August 31, 2009), and reading the comments followed on the web, it seems that even in times of recession, many people balk at the idea of doing things like cutting your hair at home. But why? Have you ever changed your oil; paint your living room, hung your drywall, or watching your own children? These are all things that some people pay others to do as a service, but we choose to do ourselves. The fact is that there will always be a large part of the populous that is watch a television, Internet video, or any other form of support do-it-yourself and said: "I can do that" and then proceeds to do whatever "it" is. Hard times may force some in this fashion, but for most people it is simply instinctive to tackle a project themselves. But now you say, "but some things I know I will not do well, so for those I hire a professional." Ahh, exactly. This brings me back to the haircut at home. At first there was the haircut vacuum, and it was good. But the inherent challenge seemed to be that you had to connect to a vacuum, making it impractical and, for many people, funny. Films like Wayne's World (Paramount, 1992) ridicules the idea, but the product continued to sell to a wider audience and to gain popularity. The 21st century has seen a huge improvement in the portability of these devices with handheld vacuum without inventions as AirCut ( www.aircut.com ) who are more mobile and have less room for error measurement. latest incarnations as it should be do-it-yourself celebrating the rebirth of the discount house for themselves and their children and save money, not afraid to get dirty.
